Review:

On March 7, 2006, alt-country singer-songwriter Neko Case released her latest CD entitled Fox Confessor Brings The Flood. The CD is the follow-up release to the 2005 live album The Tigers Have Spoken. Case's latest release is a dark and complex mix of country, pop and alternative rock.  "Hold On, Hold On" features a great use of melody and reverb drenched guitar reminiscent of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game." "That Teenage Feeling" is another highlight with a retro 50s pop feel. Musical guests include The Sadies and The Band's Garth Hudson. Despite a couple of weak songs, Fox Confessor Brings The Flood is one of the strongest alt-country releases of early 2006.

Song Highlights:
Hold On, Hold On
Margaret vs. Pauline
Star Witness
That Teenage Feeling
Maybe Sparrow
