On February 21,
2006, Teddy Thompson released his debut CD on the Verve Forecast
label entitled Separate Ways. Thompson is the only child
of British folk-rock legends Richard and Linda Thompson - who
both make an appearance on this release. Other
contributors include Rufus and Martha Wainwright and the Band's
Garth Hudson. Separate Ways is an impressive CD with a
compelling collection of roots, folk and pop songs. Listen
for father Richard's guitar on "Altered State"
and enjoy the pop-rock songcraft of "I Should Get Up."
We think you'll be hearing a lot more from the younger Thompson
in the future. |
